LC 114 Latama 7¾ inch Flat Guard Switchblade
Unusual early variation. "D" stamped brackets, flat guards, large button, "sloped" lock tab, locking hole drilled through blade, and wide blade grind. Knife has thin brass liners and thin flat guards. Blade sharpened, but retains 100% of its original shape. Knife is original, with beautiful translucent blond/white horn scales with almost no delaminating. Measures 7-3/4" open. Kick spring is of the long type, with unusual dovetailed design. Very strong spring! Blade sits deep, and safety works properly. Shows light peppering, but no rust. Much of original polish is visible. Marked "LATAMA", slanted block lettering, over "Italy" in block. This is another example of a Latama that may have been made in Frosolone. This original, combination of small, unusual variations make this knife a delight for the advanced collector!
